The Freight Project is a week long residency in Cambridge NY, designed to create a community of artists who gather to create new work in different mediums. For our next season we are seeking artists working in different disciplines on projects with a puppetry element.

We are given rehearsal spaces by The Theater Company at Hubbard Hall. The spaces include; The Hubbard Hall stage (a turn of the century opera house); a black box theater; a dance studio and a music studio.

 

What the Freight does:

 

Provides rehearsal space for 7 days to artists working in different disciplines to develop new work.

 

Provide each participant housing and food for the duration of their stay.

 

Produce a public reading of the works at Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, NY as a part of their summer season programming as well as a showing in New York City.
